Cawthray, Sarah

Each ceramic piece starts with a painting, before developing with a celebration of colour
and mark-making which is influenced by abstract designs and connects the viewer to nature.
Sarah likes to use everyday objects to make marks. Each piece is unique, either hand-built,
mould pressed or poured slip before adding texture and colour.
Having just completed a BA Hons degree in Contemporary Craft she is setting up her studio
from home to continue her love for ceramics with a new business “Slab and Slip”.
