Following my degree in textiles at Goldsmiths in 1997, I spent several years participating in a variety of exhibitions, commissions and projects both national and international showcasing my 3-dimensional textiles. Then following a fifteen-year break in making I have been working with ceramics since early 2019.
I have always been drawn to organic forms and take reference from a variety of sources, including the natural landscape and the female body. I love pattern, texture and mark-making and experiment with these on my vessels, bowls and platters, exploring the relationship between surface and form. I work from my home studio in Cheshire and all of my work is one-off and hand-built using stoneware clay.
