Graves, Dick

I have recently resumed making pottery after a break of 20 years during which time I was teaching full time to secondary and 6th form students. I built a gas kiln at the bottom of my garden and spent a year developing pots and glazes. My work is mostly thrown reduced stoneware which I fire to cone 9. After a visit to my friend Elizabeth Maynard, my interest in Raku was rekindled with the result that I was inspired to build a small kiln and have added Raku and Horsehair Raku to my work.
