Kitshaw, Marvin

As a mainly self taught potter Marvin Kitshaw favours learning from the material and its processes, using written and visual sources to inform his practice; being experimental as an ‘alchemist’, listening and looking. Marvin trained at Newcastle College of Art and Design as a Three Dimensional Designer, served time as a Pattern Maker, Technical support in an Art Department, Mural Painter, Interior Designer, and Community Arts Lecturer. He is now business owner at Muddy Fingers Pottery where he teaches and produces Specialist Functional Stoneware Cookware, Raku pottery Sculpture and Pit fired ware.
