    Inga Winson

I create tactile forms inspired by the natural treasures I’ve collected since childhood – barnacles, pebbles with indents carved by the rhythm of the sea, weathered surfaces, broken edges, seed pods and nests.
Each piece is unique, with its own identity – embracing the imperfections created through an intuitive making process – sometimes hand built, sometimes thrown and altered.
I love working with textured clays, organic materials, slips, metals and paper; combing them to create unusual surfaces and beautiful textures.
