I have always sought to create forms that are pleasing to the eye without need for explanation and I’ve felt I’ve always known when a shape or form ‘works’ as a piece of sculpture. I believe there is a certain truth within a form that is revealed when curves and lines come together in just the right way and I try and get them working harmoniously so the hand and eye can follow the sculpture’s contours in a free-flowing movement. It is this that drives me in my work.
