17 October to 14 November 2026
Here is a reminder about the Private View of my exhibition in Cupola Contemporary Art Gallery, Hillsborough, Sheffield. The Private View is from 7pm – 9pm on Friday the 16th of October.
The exhibition title, From Out of Silence, refers to the act of listening from within the body.
You will see sculptures that has been evoked from standing in a curve of the hills sensing the low vibration of the Earth; sitting in the woods and tuning into the humming of the collective; from years of walking beside my local brook – Porter Brook – and listening to her many guises of movement over rocks and gravel in full flow and drought.
Whenever I lack inspiration, the natural world waits with rich offerings for all the senses. You will be able to see sculptures that were born in the intimate gathering of mosses, lichens and seeds, in the inner sound sensing of breath work and from being in the presence of the Moon.
It would be wonderful to see you at the Private View or if not then, the show continues until 14th November.
All good wishes
Antonia
