I would like to invite you to the first of our new online members meeting “Potters Circle” on Thursday, 11th September at 19:30 on Zoom.
I will talk about glazes and glaze consistency. Stuff that I have learned from an online course taken with Sue McLeod, funded with a bursary from our NPA. Later meetings will cover Social Media, Kilns and there is a Christmas meet up in mind too. 🙂

The process of glazing, methods of glazing, notes and more
Kilns and firings
2. Why (some) glazes are so inconsistent
Factors that affect glaze results
3. Specific Gravity – is it worth bothering?
Water content, Viscosity and Flocculation
4. Common glaze faults
Hard panning, pinholing, crawling, crazing.
