Rachel Wood Workshops

Weekend workshops in 2024:

These workshops introduce you to the tactile handbuilding techniques of pinching and coiling. We start with exploration of the physical properties of the clay through playful experimentation, helping the student to know and feel the clay’s possibilities and limits. Emphasis is very much on process, trial and error, so that by the end of the course, you will learn competent core skills in pinching and coiling, and be more aware of the possibilities of working in this way.
