Park, Bob

I have been making pots since 1968, first in Inverness, where I started Culloden Pottery, moving to Greystoke Gill, Cumbria in 1997 and now working from a workshop at my house in Greystoke. I studied ceramics at Harrogate and Bath Colleges of Art and since leaving have made my living as a potter, producing a wide range of individual stoneware. I use several glazes, primarily Chun, intermingled on each piece to produce rich, colourful surface decorations. Some of which are inspired by the local landscape. I am also now making more sculptural slabbed and extruded pieces drawing on natural forms and plants for my inspiration.
work.
