I create my ceramics in an off-grid studio high on the wild moorland of Coverdale in the Yorkshire Dales. After a childhood in Africa and a career in London, I found creative freedom in rural life and have spent over twenty years working with clay. My studio, powered entirely by wind and solar energy, reflects my commitment to sustainability and living in harmony with nature. I draw inspiration from the rugged landscape around me and from memories of Africa, creating organic vessels that echo the land’s raw beauty. Each piece is shaped in a meditative process, expressing my respect for the environment and love of handmade craft. My work celebrates a peaceful, self-sufficient way of life where creativity and nature are deeply connected.
