Talling, Thora

I live in the Eden Valley and I work in earthenware clay. I like coloured slips and use these in a painterly fashion to illustrate bowls with cats. I also use oxides and wax resist for large horse bowls. I have travelled in Iceland, having an Icelandic mother, and enjoyed putting the beautiful scenery on large plaques to hang on the wall. I have also made a range of ‘algae’ plaques and bowls, using the amazing shapes and colours of microscopic plants under the microscope. My father was a freshwater biologist.
