NPA – Glaze Course by Mike Scown

A full, comprehensive one day course on glazing where Mike will run through the following points.

Glaze ingredients. Glaze mixing equipment. Glaze mixing process. Testing processes and taking notes. Health and safety whilst using ceramic materials. Four simple recipe starting points from cone 06 to cone 10. Variations on the above recipies. Glaze chemistry: why we use the ingredients that we do, what they are composed of chemically. Specific gravity. Flocculation and deflocculation. Thermal expansion.

This event is now confirmed as an NPA members event and will be circulated, and on the NPA website (events/book an NPA event) very soon. The cost is £37.00 per person.
